ASEEL MASSOUD
Lyric soprano from Syria, she started singing traditional Syrian music from an early age. She began her vocal training under the tutelage of the famous Syrian soprano Arax Chikijian in 2009. Lives in Barcelona since 2015 and finished her career at the professional conservatory with Meritxell Olaya, and at the Superior Liceu conservatory 2023 with the great teacher Carmen Bustamante.
She played the role of Anna Bolena in July 2022 at the Angular Festival in Sant Cugat, and the role of Mimí in la bohème - Puccini, at the Liceu Auditorium 2023 .
Soloist in several international projects, such as the Royal Opera House in London, International Music Festival in Colombia, "Love in Syria" in France and Spain, "Recuerdos de Andalucía" at Damascus Opera House, Ceremonies of United Nations, BACH Project with Yo-Yo Ma, , Ladies Soprano in Milan, AMAN Trio in Germany.
Soloist at the Palau de la música Catalana in many concerts, at the Conde Godó in Tennis celebrations, and in many ceremonies at the Parliament of Catalonia and the Palau de Congressos and Soloist of Requiem de Mozart at Taranto Opera Festival in Italy & The Cathedral Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona
Participated in musical projects at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de Musica and many others with conductors such as Miquel Ortega, Jordi Savall, Mirella Barrera, Manuel Valdivieso, Sergi Vicente, Elena Mitrevska and others.
Co-founder of "Athrodeel", a musical project that presents a new vision of a cultural exchange of music and she is a part of Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya.
She is a registered doctor in Barcelona and did a Master's in Music Therapy at the University of Barcelona, and founder of several educational, artistic and humanistic projects in Barcelona, Syria and Qatar.
